This project involved the total reconfiguration of the primary suite for a 1940s home in West University, Texas. The affected area was an early addition to the original structure that had undergone multiple prior renovations resulting in a series of dark, cramped spaces that weren’t in keeping with the rest of the house and had no connection to the garden. Our solution included a simplified plan arrangement, reworking the fenestration to bring in natural light & better engage the garden, and the use of classic finishes & details to more closely align with the architectural character of the original historic house.
