3D interior renderings of a new 4,700 sq. ft. house to be set among existing farm structures adjacent to a pond on a hillside in Fayette County, Texas. The 1-story H-shaped plan spreads-out on the site, affording multi-directional views to the surrounding landscape from most interior rooms. Although the building appears from the outside as a traditional farmhouse, the fenestration for primary rooms under the porches was subtly manipulated to allow for far more expansive views than are expected. Circulating through the house, an occupant is continually surprised to encounter rooms flooded with natural lights through floor-to-ceiling windows presenting a truly unexpected variety of the surrounding landscape.
The central space in the H-shaped plan is a Greatroom that is flanked by long porches the the north & south. The stone walled Greatroom is anchored by a large fireplace on one end and a bar at the other. Natural light spills in from above through six dormers in the timber framed vaulted ceiling. Bedrooms and service spaces as situated in the wings of the H-shaped plan. A vaulted Kitchen & Morning Room space has views in three directions, is anchored by another stone fireplace, has it's own porch with access to the pool area. On the opposite end of the house from the Kitchen, is the Master Suite with it's own unique expansive views, two-sided fireplace, and private porch.
